Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi keterlibatan dan keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK). Namun, perbedaan motivasi antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan masih menjadi isu yang menarik untuk dikaji. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar antara siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan dalam pembelajaran PJOK di SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif komparatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket motivasi belajar yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 39 siswa, yaitu 20 siswa laki-laki dan 19 siswa perempuan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Independent Samples t-test menggunakan program SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, dengan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,054 > 0,05. Secara deskriptif, siswa perempuan memiliki rata-rata motivasi belajar (mean = 170,57) sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa laki-laki (mean = 162,40), namun perbedaan tersebut tidak signifikan secara statistik.

Learning motivation is one of the important factors that influence student engagement and success in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning. However, differences in motivation between male and female students remain an interesting issue to study. This study aims to determine the differences in learning motivation between male and female students in PJOK learning at SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi. The research method used is a comparative quantitative method with data collection techniques through a learning motivation questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The research subjects consisted of 39 students, namely 20 male students and 19 female students. Data analysis was performed using the Independent Samples t-test using the SPSS version 21 program. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the learning motivation of male and female students, with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.054 > 0.05. Descriptively, female students had a slightly higher average learning motivation (mean = 170.57) than male students (mean = 162.40), but the difference was not statistically significant.
