Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine how plyometric training affects young male pencak silat athletes in Singo Barantai,Solok Selatan, in increasing their front kick speed. Purposive sampling was used in the pre-experimental design methodology of the study for Singo Barantai school athletes. A one-group pretest-posttest design was used in the data collection method. To determine the influence between variables, the analysis method used the t-test. The results of the study revealed that plyometric training has a substantial effect on the front kick speed of young male athletes in Singo Barantai in Solok Selatan. Plyometric training has an impact on the speed of athletes' front kicks, seen from the average pretest result of 26 kicks changing to 32 posttest kicks and increasing by 6 kicks as seen from the results showing a significant t value of 19.012> t table of 2.353.
