Abstract

The research examines the impact of plyometric training at SMKN 1 Kerinci on the shooting ability of futsal players. The issue identified is the shooting proficiency of futsal athletes at SMKN 1 Kerinci that remains subpar and inconsistent. This research aims to investigate how plyometric training affects the shooting skills of futsal athletes at SMKN 1 Kerinci. Observations reveal that players' shooting skills are inadequate, leading to numerous goal-scoring failures. The research approach applied is an experiment featuring a one group pre-test post-test setup. The research sample consisted of 9 futsal players at SMKN 1 Kerinci. The research instrument was a shooting ability test given before and after the plyometric training treatment for 16 meetings. This study was conducted on the SMKN 1 Kerinci field. The results showed a significant increase in shooting ability. The pre-test scores averaged 16.11 with a standard deviation of 7.06, but the post-test average rose to 24.44 with a standard deviation of 5.24. Hypothesis testing using the "t" test shows a calculated t value of 8.33 > t table = 1.860 at a significance level of 0.05. This means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Thus, plyometric training has been proven to have a significant effect in improving the shooting ability of futsal players at SMKN 1 Kerinci with an increase rate of 52%.
