Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ladder drill and cone drill training on the agility of SPOBNAS Sumbar soccer athletes. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi- experimental design of the two-group pretest-posttest type. The research subjects consisted of 18 athletes aged 14–17 years who were determined using total sampling technique. The instrument used to measure agility was the T-Test Agility Test. The study was conducted over four weeks with a training frequency of four times a week and a duration of 40–60 minutes per session. Data analysis used the Liliefors normality test and t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that ladder drill training had a significant effect on agility with tcount (7.03) > ttable (1.812), and cone drill training also had a significant effect with tcount (6.67) > ttable (1.812). In addition, there was a difference in the effects between the two exercises, where ladder drills provided a greater increase in agility than cone drills.
